WINE TASTING TIPS

 

For proper wine tasting you need:

 

Odourless room with good lighting

Odourless glass, wine tasting shape

White background – white paper, white table or tablecloth

Empty pot for spitting

Water, bread, crackers

Cooling fridge for white wines

 

STEPS IN WINE TASTING

 

FIRST, you look at the colour on white background, holding the glass under the
angle of 45 degrees. Color should be transparent, without fogginess and oxidation.

Swirling of the wine, by which it takes air and releases its aromas

After the swirling, you should inhale deeply and slowly, to recognize the scent combinations

Mouth is washed with wine so it can reach all the sensory spots on the tongue

At the end you spit or swallow the wine. We recommend swallowing J

Sensors for sweetness are located on the tip of the tongue, for acidity on the sides, for bitterness at the back and for saltiness on all sides of the tongue except in the middle

Wine contains 75-85% water

Minerals (potassium, calcium, sodium, magnesium, iron, copper, manganese, cobalt, zinc, fluor, iodine, selenium) are also present in the wine in total amount of 1,5 -3,5 g/l.
